Frequently asked questions.
No. The file stays in this browser tab as local data. The watermark runs on your device. We do not receive the document, so there is nothing for us to store or delete.
With a PDF editor and some effort, yes. A watermark is a visible label, not a lock. It tells readers what the file is and who it was for. If the content must not leave your hands, redact it instead.
Yes. The stamp is added on top of the page. The original words stay selectable, and the stamp itself is real text too.
Letters from Western European languages, including German umlauts and ß, plus digits and common punctuation. Characters outside that set, such as Polish or Cyrillic letters, are refused with a clear message instead of producing a broken file.
Yes. Up to 25 MB and 200 pages per file, and logos up to 5 MB as PNG or JPG. A password-protected file needs Unlock PDF first, another free fynk tool that runs in your browser.
Adding a watermark changes the file, so a digital signature in the original no longer counts in the copy. The tool warns you when it finds one. Stamp before signing, not after.
Not for this tool. In fynk, templates can carry your logo and a confidentiality notice in the header and footer, so every page of every document has them without an extra step.
