How to compare

Four questions that decide most comparisons.

Feature tables are long, but most contract software decisions come down to four questions. Answer them for your own team first and most comparisons settle quickly.

Where does the work go after signing?

The sharpest dividing line in this category is not a feature. An e-signature tool treats a signed document as the end of a process. A contract management platform treats it as the start of one, because that is when renewal dates, notice periods and obligations begin to matter. Tools on opposite sides of that line rarely belong on the same shortlist.

What does the price do as you grow?

List prices tell you very little. What matters is the model underneath: whether you pay per seat, per document, per envelope or a mix, and whether contract management is a second licence. Two products with the same entry price can differ by a factor of three at real volume, which is why each comparison here looks at the cost model rather than a single price.

Which signature level do your documents need?

Under eIDAS, a simple electronic signature covers most commercial contracts in the EU. Advanced and qualified signatures require identity verification, and some employment and property documents are not valid without one. This single question eliminates more tools than any feature table.

Who has to be able to use it?

If legal drafts everything, the quality of the editor decides. If sales and HR create their own contracts, what decides is templates with locked clauses and approval routing that works without a ticket to legal. A tool that is excellent for one of those is often mediocre for the other.

Compare it against your own

Import what you signed last quarter and ask fynk a question about it. Faster than any comparison table.
