Xodo Sign holds signed files and templates, not contract data, so leaving it is a contained project. The work sits in four places: getting the files out in time, turning them into contract records, rewiring what runs through Zapier or the API, and deciding where document preparation happens afterwards.
Request the Xodo Sign export while the account is active.
Xodo Sign lets you download signed documents one at a time as a PDF with their Certificate of Completion, and a full account export is requested from support. After termination, files stay available on request for 30 days, which is a short window if the request only goes in on the last day. Ask for the full export a few weeks before the Professional renewal, keep each certificate with its PDF, and check the count against the account before anyone cancels.
Signed PDFs from Xodo Sign become contract records.
What comes out of Xodo Sign is PDFs and certificates with no renewal or notice dates attached, because Xodo Sign tracks deadlines only for pending signature requests. fynk reads every imported document, returns parties, dates, values and clauses as fields, and reminds you before a renewal. Link each Certificate of Completion to its contract as a related document. Check the extracted notice periods on a handful of contracts before importing the rest, because a date read wrongly is worse than one not read at all.
Rewire Xodo Sign’s Zapier and API flows.
Xodo Sign’s help centre says its Salesforce integration is still under development and points to Zapier in the meantime. Anything built on webhooks, embedded signing or the 10 API documents per user included in Professional needs a list of its own. In fynk, the Salesforce and Pipedrive connectors come with Essential, but Zapier, webhooks and the REST API need Business at €39 per user per month billed annually. A team whose Xodo Sign setup lives in Zapier should therefore price Business, not Essential.
Decide where document preparation happens after Xodo Sign.
On Professional, Xodo Sign senders can edit PDF text, redact, annotate and reorder pages before a document goes out, and its templates are uploaded files with fields and signer roles. In fynk the template holds the contract text itself, with dynamic fields that legal controls, so rebuilding templates is a chance to move recurring contracts off PDFs. Whoever prepares documents today feels this most. If their routine depends on redacting or editing finished PDFs, test exactly that step in the fynk trial before you commit.
When Xodo Sign is still the better fit.
If every document you send is fine with a simple signature, US hosting passes your legal review and your security questionnaire asks for SOC 2, Xodo Sign does the job at a lower seat price than fynk, and moving buys you little. The same goes for teams whose sending routine starts in its PDF editor. Staying is the sensible choice there, and you should hear that before a trial rather than after a migration.
