No. The file and the password stay in this browser tab as local data. Unlocking runs on your device. We do not receive the document or the password, so there is nothing for us to store or delete.
Only if it opens without one. Many PDFs only block printing, copying or editing and open freely, and those blocks are removed. A file that asks for a password to open needs that password. This tool never guesses or cracks passwords.
Files you own or are allowed to change, such as your own bank statements or a document whose sender gave you the password. Removing a password does not change who may use the content.
No. Pages, text, images, form fields and file properties stay as they are. Only the password and the restrictions are removed, and text stays selectable.
Check capital letters, the keyboard layout and spaces at the end. Y and Z swap places between German and English keyboards, for example. If it still fails, ask the sender. A few files are locked with a certificate instead of a password, which this tool cannot remove.
One PDF at a time, up to 25 MB and 200 pages. Unlocking saves a new copy, so a digital signature in the original does not carry over. Keep the signed original as well.
