Eight Adobe Acrobat Sign alternatives worth a shortlist.

Adobe Acrobat Sign, formerly Adobe Sign and before that EchoSign, is Adobe's e-signature product, bundled into the Acrobat for teams plans or sold as the sales-led Acrobat Sign Solutions. These Adobe Sign alternatives are what teams move to when a signed contract has to do more than sit in an archive.

The short version.

  1. fynk if you want contracts and signatures up to QES in one European system, with an AI assistant that reads them.
  2. DocuSign if you need every eIDAS level, a REST API and a signing flow your counterparties recognise.
  3. Dropbox Sign if you want unlimited signature requests at a simple per-sender price.
  4. Oneflow if you want contract management and signing in one EU-hosted subscription with native CRM integrations.
  5. Youtrust (formerly Yousign) or Skribble if you need all three eIDAS signature levels from a European provider and nothing beyond signing.

Still the right call if your team already works in Acrobat, or you need SOC 2 Type 2, the German C5 attestation and native Dynamics 365 or NetSuite integrations: Adobe Acrobat Sign itself. Here is when we say so.

More than 3,000 teams chose fynk to outgrow legal chaos.

Nobody switches because the signatures stopped working.

  1. A signed agreement is archived, not read.

Acrobat Sign lets you manage signed and received documents, run reports and follow document cycles. That is an archive of agreements, not a contract repository that holds dates, values and notice periods as data.

  2. Two products behind one name.

The Acrobat for teams plans can be bought online. CRM integrations, the API, advanced signer authentication and Adobe's full e-signature compliance sit in Acrobat Sign Solutions, which is quoted by sales.

  3. Qualified signatures need a second provider.

Acrobat Sign supports QES by working with a qualified trust service provider of your choice, which issues the certificate. Adobe itself provides the qualified time stamp, so QES means a second relationship to set up.

  4. The AI lives in Acrobat, not in Sign.

Adobe's contract intelligence is part of the Acrobat AI Assistant, sold as an add-on and included in Acrobat Studio. It is not part of Acrobat Sign, and Acrobat Pro for teams does not include it.

The alternatives in detail.

Same shape for every entry: what it is, where it wins, where it does not, who should shortlist it.

fynk

01 fynk

European teams that want contracts, AI and eIDAS signing (up to QES) in one system with transparent per-user pricing

Get a demo

This is our page, so read this section with that in mind. fynk is a contract platform with e-signature built in, not a signature tool with contract features bolted on. Every document is read on arrival, so parties, dates, values and notice periods come back as structured data.

Where it wins

  • Contract management and signing in one subscription
  • EU hosted by default, ISO 27001
  • SES, AES and QES on every plan
  • Self-serve setup, a free plan and a 14-day trial

Where it does not

  • Less brand recognition outside Europe
  • API and native HubSpot integration only from the Business plan
  • No notarisation and no SOC 2 report
  • Too much tool under five contracts a year
From €19 per user/month (annual)

02 DocuSign

Organisations that mainly need high-volume e-signature with broad integrations and international legal acceptance

A widely used e-signature platform, with repository, AI and contract management sold as separate IAM plans. For a team leaving Acrobat Sign that wants to stay with a signature specialist, it is the other name enterprise counterparties already know.

Where it wins

  • Every eIDAS level, QES as an add-on from €10 per recipient
  • REST API on every eSignature plan
  • ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type II and a German interface

Where it does not

  • Envelope allowance per user per year, overage billed
  • Repository, extraction and renewals need a separate IAM plan
  • AES, the data residency guarantee and Salesforce or Dynamics only on sales-led Enhanced plans
€38 per user/month (Business Pro, annual)

03 Dropbox Sign

Small teams that mainly need to send PDFs for signature and already work in Dropbox, Google Drive or HubSpot

Dropbox’s e-signature product, formerly HelloSign. Signing stripped back to the essentials, and priced accordingly: a good answer when the job really is getting documents signed, especially for teams already working in Dropbox, Google Drive or HubSpot.

Where it wins

  • Unlimited signature requests on every paid plan
  • Simple per-sender pricing, recipients sign for free
  • SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001

Where it does not

  • No contract management: no repository metadata, renewals or approvals
  • US hosting by default, EU residency on Premium
  • AES and QES only as an eID add-on on API Premium
From $25/user/mo

04 SignNow

small and mid-sized teams, mainly in North America, that send a modest number of signature requests and want many users on one account

An e-signature product from airSlate, priced per account rather than per seat. It suits a team where many people need access but few requests go out, which is the opposite of per-licence Acrobat pricing.

Where it wins

  • Flat price per account with unlimited users
  • Payments from Business Premium, approval steps on Enterprise
  • Official MCP server, SOC 2 Type II

Where it does not

  • 100 signature invites per account per year on annual plans, then pay-as-you-go
  • QES, full API access and premium CRM integrations need the sales-led Site License
  • No contract management: no AI review, renewal tracking or metadata extraction
€30/month flat

05 Oneflow

Nordic and European mid-market teams sending sales and HR contracts

A Nordic contract platform built around sales and HR agreements, combining a document editor, signing, AI extraction and a repository in one subscription.

Where it wins

  • EU hosted in Ireland, ISO 27001
  • Contract management and signing in one subscription
  • Native HubSpot, Salesforce and Dynamics integrations

Where it does not

  • AES and QES through an eID add-on
  • AI playbook review is a beta add-on
  • SOC 2 Type 1 only
€50 / user / month

06 Youtrust (Yousign)

European SMEs that need compliant signing at every eIDAS level plus KYC checks, without managing contracts after signature

A French e-signature and trust-services provider, renamed from Yousign to Youtrust in 2026. If the requirement is eIDAS coverage and nothing beyond it, a specialist is usually cheaper and simpler than a platform.

Where it wins

  • Hosted in France, its own eIDAS trust service provider
  • Unlimited simple signatures from the Plus plan
  • Official MCP connector on all licences

Where it does not

  • No contract management, repository or renewal tracking
  • QES and ID-checked AES cost extra per signature
  • API sold as separate plans
€23/user/mo

07 Skribble

DACH teams that mainly need legally strong signatures, especially QES under Swiss and EU law

A Zurich-based e-signature provider that covers qualified signing under both EU and Swiss law from one account. Deliberately not a contract system: Skribble recommends pairing it with separate contract management.

Where it wins

  • SES, AES and QES under both eIDAS and Swiss ZertES
  • Swiss or German data centre, ISO 27001
  • Free pay-per-signature plan and a 14-day trial

Where it does not

  • Signature only: no templates, repository or approvals
  • AES and QES within an annual allowance per user, overage billed
  • API from Pro, Salesforce and SSO on the custom Scale plan
€36 per user/month

08 PandaDoc

Sales-led teams that build proposals and quotes from their CRM and want signing in the same flow.

Built around the sales motion: templates, a product catalogue, quotes, payments and signing in one flow. If the document that slows you down is a proposal rather than an MSA, it is the closer fit.

Where it wins

  • Strong proposal and quote builder
  • Deep CRM integrations
  • Payments collected in the document

Where it does not

  • Renewal tracking and locked templates are Business add-ons
  • EU hosting is an option, not the default
  • No advanced signature (AES), QES via partners per signer
  • API only on Enterprise
$49 per user/month (Business, annual)
Buyer guide

What to look for in an Adobe Acrobat Sign alternative.

Five questions decide most of these evaluations. Answer them before you book demos and the shortlist above collapses to two or three names.

The signature level you actually need.

eIDAS defines three levels. A simple electronic signature covers most commercial contracts in the EU. Advanced and qualified signatures need identity verification behind them, and some documents will not hold without one. Ask each vendor who issues the qualified certificate and on which plan.

Which product your requirements land in.

Several vendors sell signing in two shapes: a self-serve plan with a public price and a sales-led edition with the integrations, the API and the stronger compliance. Write down your must-haves first, then check which of the two they fall into. That decides the real price more than the entry figure does.

Where the data lives and who owns the company.

Most US vendors offer EU data residency as a configuration, often from a higher tier. For regulated buyers in DACH that is not always the same answer as a European company on European infrastructure.

What happens after the signature.

This is the question that splits the list. An e-signature tool treats a completed document as the end of the process. A contract platform treats it as the start.

When Adobe Acrobat Sign is still the right answer.

Worth saying plainly, since we sell against it. If your organisation has standardised on Acrobat and the people sending documents already hold licences, e-signing comes with a tool they use every day, with no usage cap on the teams plans. If procurement asks for SOC 2 Type 2 or the German C5 attestation, if you need native integrations with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Zoho CRM, Oracle CRM, NetSuite or SugarCRM, or if you need online notarisation in the US, Acrobat Sign Solutions covers that and we do not.

Why teams pick fynk

A signed contract that keeps working.

In Acrobat Sign a completed agreement joins an archive of signed documents, and the AI that reads contracts is an Acrobat add-on. In fynk every document is read on arrival on every plan: the dates and values come back as data you can filter and report on, and the assistant answers questions across the whole repository.

  • Contracts and eIDAS signatures up to QES in one subscription, no second product
  • EU hosted by default, ISO 27001
  • AI review and metadata extraction on every plan
  • Your signed archive imported and read on arrival
Framework agreement, Nordwind Analytics Signed
  • Renewal date 31 March 2027
  • Notice period 3 months
  • Contract value €48,000 per year
  • Signature level QES

Pricing

How Adobe Acrobat Sign pricing actually behaves.

Most of the surprise in an e-signature invoice comes from a few mechanics rather than from the headline price. They are worth understanding before you compare any two quotes, including ours.

Adobe Sign pricing: you buy Acrobat, and signing comes with it.

On the self-serve side there is no standalone Sign plan. E-signing is bundled into the Acrobat for teams plans, priced per licence: Acrobat Standard for teams at US$16.99, Acrobat Pro for teams at US$23.99 and Acrobat Studio for teams at US$29.99 per licence per month, on an annual term billed monthly. A free trial covers up to 10 licences.

Pro for teams is the realistic floor.

Bulk send, web forms, Braintree payments and the Microsoft and Box e-signature integrations start with Acrobat Pro for teams. Standard for teams has none of them. Compare the plan you would actually run, not the lowest price on the page.

Volume is not the problem.

Adobe states there are no usage caps on the Acrobat for teams plans, so you can collect an unlimited number of e-signatures. Unlike envelope or invite allowances elsewhere, the bill grows with licences, not with documents.

The enterprise features are quoted, not listed.

CRM integrations such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Zoho CRM, the API, advanced signer authentication and the compliance portfolio belong to Acrobat Sign Solutions, which has no public price and is licensed per user or per transaction. Adobe itself notes that the e-signature capabilities in Acrobat Standard and Pro do not offer the same level of compliance as Sign Solutions.

AI is a separate line item.

Adobe’s contract intelligence comes with the Acrobat AI Assistant, an add-on that Adobe listed at US$4.99 per month for individual customers, and it is included in Acrobat Studio for teams. Pro for teams does not include it.

What to ask for in writing.

Ask any vendor on your shortlist for the same three numbers: the total annual cost at your real document volume, what happens when you exceed the allowance, and what the second and third year look like after any first-year discount. Those three answers reorder most shortlists more than any feature table does.

How to move without losing your archive.

  1. Download your signed agreements.

Save completed agreements while the Acrobat Sign account is still active, ask Adobe how to export the full archive before you cancel, and check the count against your records.

  2. Bulk import the archive.

fynk reads each PDF and extracts parties, dates, values and terms, so the archive arrives searchable instead of as a folder dump.

  3. Rebuild templates, not documents.

Move the five templates that cover most of your volume. The long tail can follow.

  4. Run both for one month.

New contracts go to the new system, anything mid-signature finishes where it started.

Acrobat Sign Solutions, with the CRM integrations and the API, is priced on request.

  • Acrobat for teams is the self-serve Acrobat subscription, priced per licence, with e-signing bundled in and no usage cap.
