Still the right call if you sign qualified under Swiss and EU law and already manage contracts in another system: Skribble itself. Here is when we say so.

  1. The signature was the easy part.

    Skribble says it is intentionally specialised in e-signatures and leaves contract management and long-term archiving to other tools. Signed documents sit in a list you can filter by status and search by document name.

  2. Qualified signatures are rationed.

    Team includes 72 and Pro 120 AES or QES per user per year, pooled across the account. Every signature above that is billed individually, and QES adds a one-time identification fee per signer.

  3. Integrations sit on higher plans.

    The API and plug-ins for HubSpot, SharePoint or Google Drive start on Pro, and Salesforce only comes with the custom-priced Scale plan. Team and Pro are listed for up to 20 users.

  4. Two systems for one contract.

    Because Skribble recommends pairing it with separate contract management, signing and storage run in two tools on two subscriptions. Every signed contract still has to be moved to wherever the deadlines and owners live.

Dropbox’s e-signature product, formerly HelloSign. Signing stripped back to the essentials, and priced accordingly: a good answer when the job really is getting documents signed, especially for teams already working in Dropbox, Google Drive or HubSpot.

What to look for in a Skribble alternative.

Five questions decide most of these evaluations. Answer them before you book demos and the shortlist above collapses to two or three names.

The signature level you need, and under which law.

eIDAS defines three levels. A simple electronic signature covers most commercial contracts in the EU. Advanced and qualified signatures need identity verification behind them. If you sign qualified in Switzerland, you also need a QES under ZertES. Work out first which documents need which level in which country.

How many AES and QES you actually send a year.

On Skribble’s Team and Pro plans simple signatures are unlimited; advanced and qualified ones are not. On several of the alternatives above, QES is an add-on or billed per signature. Model your real volume, not the entry price.

Where the data has to live.

For some Swiss buyers a Swiss data centre is a requirement; for many German and Austrian buyers the European Economic Area is enough. The two answers lead to different shortlists, so settle it before the first demo.

What happens after the signature.

This is the question that splits the list. An e-signature tool treats a completed document as the end of the process. A contract platform treats it as the start: terms, notice periods and values become data the system reminds you about.

When Skribble is still the right answer.

Worth saying plainly, since we sell against it. If you need qualified signatures under both eIDAS and Swiss ZertES, want your data in either a Swiss or a German data centre, and manage contracts afterwards in a system you already have, Skribble is a very good choice. The same goes if you only sign occasionally: on the Starter plan you pay per signature instead of for a subscription.

Skribble pricing: how the plans actually behave.

Skribble publishes prices for Starter, Team and Pro; only Scale is on request. Three mechanics are still worth understanding before you compare any two quotes, including ours.

Per user, with an allowance for AES and QES.

Team costs €23 and Pro €36 per user per month billed yearly, which is €276 and €432 per user per year, excluding VAT. Simple signatures are unlimited on both. Advanced and qualified signatures come from a shared annual allowance: 72 per user on Team, 120 on Pro.

Above the allowance you pay per signature.

Once the allowance is used up, each extra AES costs €2.50 and each QES €4.50 on Team, and €2 and €4 on Pro. QES also carries a one-time identification fee of €24.50 per signer on Starter, Team and Pro. Starter has no subscription at all; instead every signature is charged: €1 for SES, €3 for AES, €5 for QES.

Integrations and headcount decide the plan.

The API and plug-ins for HubSpot, SharePoint, OneDrive or Google Drive start on Pro; Team has neither. Team and Pro are listed for up to 20 users. Above that, at high volume, or if you want to sign from Salesforce, the route is the Scale plan, priced on request.

What to ask for in writing.

Ask any vendor on your shortlist for the same three numbers: the total annual cost at your real signature volume, what happens when you exceed the allowance, and what the second and third year look like after any first-year discount. Those three answers reorder most shortlists more than any feature table does.

How to move without losing your archive.

  1. Download your signed documents.

    Save every completed document while the Skribble account is still active, and check the count against your records.

  2. Bulk import the archive.

    fynk reads each PDF and extracts parties, dates, values and terms, so the archive arrives searchable instead of as a folder dump.

  3. Rebuild templates, not documents.

    Move the five templates that cover most of your volume. The long tail can follow.

  4. Run both for one month.

    New contracts go to the new system, anything mid-signature finishes where it started.
