Sign with Latvian ID card
The Latvian ID card can be used for a qualified signature when the signer has the card and a reader. This is separate from eParaksts Mobile.
About the provider
The Latvian ID card, Personas apliecība, is issued by the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs. The chip supports a qualified signature in a card reader. This is separate from eParaksts Mobile.
Questions
Yes. Latvian ID card is included as a signature method in fynk. The sender sets the signature type when the contract is sent, and the signer picks this method from the provider list when they sign. The signer uses their ID card as part of that flow.
A qualified signature from the card has the same legal effect as a handwritten signature across the EU.
