“Usability and a modern look and feel were most important. Other providers just looked old. We needed something people actually wanted to work with, not something they had to.”
Europe’s B2B Connector and Why Contracts Matter
Unite Network SE is one of Europe’s largest B2B platforms, connecting buyers and suppliers in a trusted digital network. They operate in multiple countries with dozens of teams and manage complex agreements with customers and service providers every day. At this scale, contracts are the backbone for building trust, protecting revenue, and ensuring compliance.
But until recently, Unite’s contract processes were scattered and manual, slowing teams down and exposing hidden risks.
“We Lost Money Because We Missed Termination Deadlines”
Before fynk, Unite’s contract management was a patchwork of folders, email chains, Word files, and digital signature tools like Adobe Sign. Each department managed contracts separately. There was no clear system to tie everything together.
“Our biggest issue was contract storage. It was very decentralized. Each department managed things on their own. Some files were missing, some were duplicated. There was not a real system behind it,” explains Elisa Prößdorf, Legal Solutions Manager at Unite.
To get signatures, teams bounced between Word, PDFs, and Adobe Sign. But these tools never really connected, not the way that Unite wanted. Adding SharePoint to the story just made the gaps even wider. This lack of an integrated contract lifecycle and digital signing workflow created unnecessary manual work, confusing version control, and made approvals easy to lose in overflowing inboxes.
“We had a digital signing process, but there was a lot of media disruption between Word and PDFs. We were using Adobe Sign and doing a lot of manual processes too,” Elisa says.
"We lost money because we missed termination deadlines. That was the moment we knew our old approach had to change."

Why Unite Chose fynk Over Others
When Unite’s legal team saw the risks in their old setup, they knew they needed more than another tool. They wanted a partner to help reduce risk, regain oversight, and make contracts simple for everyone. They compared several contract lifecycle management solutions from well-known providers. Many looked strong on paper but felt heavy, outdated, or too complex to roll out.
“Usability and a modern look and feel were most important. Other providers just looked old. We needed something people actually wanted to work with, not something they had to,” says Elisa Prößdorf, Legal Solutions Manager at Unite.
What stood out with fynk was how fresh and intuitive it felt. Instead of clunky menus and confusing workflows, fynk offered a clean interface teams could use right away, with no steep learning curve or heavy training. It felt built for real cross-team collaboration and gave Unite confidence that people would adopt it.
It gave Unite confidence that teams would actually use it, bringing clarity and control company-wide, not just for legal.
From Disconnected to Connected in One Platform
Today, Unite uses fynk to run the entire contract lifecycle. Teams can draft, approve, negotiate, sign, and store contracts securely in one connected platform. No more hunting through folders or chasing approvals in crowded inboxes.
"Our biggest gain is having one central hub for all contracts. No more folders or email chains. Everything is secure and transparent"

For Unite’s legal team, this also means full visibility into what is signed, by whom and when, and when key deadlines like renewals or terminations come up. With clear deadline tracking in place, teams avoid unwanted auto-renewals and hidden surprises that once slipped through the cracks.
Departments now work together without guesswork or version confusion, confident that critical dates won’t get lost in scattered files.
One Hour Work in Just Two Minutes
The impact shows up in real daily work. When Unite needed to rename 12 companies in different countries, doing this manually used to take about an hour per contract template. Now, they update the name once in fynk and it takes two minutes.
“One example: we renamed 11 companies this year. In the past, we had to change every Word template manually. Now, we just change the name once in the system. That’s one hour of work reduced to two minutes.”
Expanding from 150 to 200 Users
Seeing the clear value, Unite did not stop with a small pilot. What began as a rollout for 150 people has grown to 200 users across about 20 teams and departments and the number keeps growing. The legal team is driving this expansion across sales, operations, IT and more, standardizing how contracts are drafted, signed, tracked and stored in one shared contract management platform.
“The results made it clear we had to roll it out to more departments,” Elisa says. “Change is always hard, so I made it feel easy and enjoyable so people would adopt it quickly.”
The goal is to standardize contract management company-wide, replacing manual patchwork with one consistent way to work.
Why Great Support Keeps Things Smooth
Behind every smooth rollout is responsive support. Unite’s legal team values having fynk’s Customer Success team ready to help when needed, without waiting in line behind tickets or bots.
"The customer support is excellent. We get fast answers without the pain of a support hub or chatbot"

A Simple Tool That People Love to Use
For Unite, the lesson is clear. When teams have a modern CLM (contract lifecycle management) tool that is simple and intuitive, people actually want to use it, and that changes everything.
“Don’t underestimate the value of modern, intuitive usability. People say it’s so nice to work with. It actually makes contract work fun. That makes adoption faster and that’s why we trust fynk for our contract workflows across the whole company,” says Elisa Prößdorf, Legal Solutions Manager at Unite.
