The [fynk MCP server](https://fynk.com/en/integrations/mcp-server/) is hosted by fynk and connects Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code, Codex, Microsoft Copilot Studio and any other MCP client. An agent can find documents, create contracts and offers from templates or PDFs, fill fields and metadata, manage parties and signatories, move documents through review and signing, and archive or restore them.

The connection uses OAuth, so the agent has exactly the permissions of the person who connected it. Every action lands in fynk's audit trail. No API key or infrastructure is needed. The MCP server is available during the trial and on the Essential, Business and Pro plans.

## Security, privacy and compliance

- **ISO 27001:** fynk is ISO 27001 certified for its Information Security Management System. The certificate was issued by DQS, which is accredited by the German Accreditation Body (DAkkS).
- **Hosting:** fynk is hosted in the EU, in ISO 27001-certified data centers. The app and your documents run on AWS in Frankfurt, Germany. fynk's AI service runs at Hetzner in Germany and uses AI models hosted in the EU (Microsoft Azure OpenAI, Mistral AI). - **AI and data:** all AI processing stays in the EU. fynk does not train its own models; the assistant runs on Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service; Mistral AI is used only for text recognition (OCR). Customer data is never used to train AI models.
- **GDPR:** fynk is GDPR compliant and has appointed an external data protection officer.
- **Availability:** fynk commits to 99.5% availability on an annual average.

## Limits: when fynk is not the right answer

- **Very low volume.** A company that signs fewer than about five contracts a year rarely needs a contract management system.
- **Plain file storage.** fynk manages documents as structured contracts. It is not a general-purpose drive.
- **File formats for signing.** fynk sends PDF, Word (DOCX) and scanned documents for signature. Excel files can be attached for reference but are not signed; export spreadsheets to PDF first.
- **Legal advice.** fynk is software. It does not give legal advice and does not replace a lawyer.

## Common mistakes to avoid
